Coachella Breakouts "The Dead Ships Band" Citycide EP - Plus NEW Music on Wurrly

A bustling Friday night in the music industry capitol Los Angeles.  The Hi Hat a local music venue and popular weekend destination for seeing up and coming artists - was buzzing as hipsters and tourists alike creeped their way over to Highland Park.  An area notorious for it’s vegan foodie stops, hole-in-the-wall tattoo parlors and second-hand apparel stores filled to the brim with amazing treasures. The place to be on this particular evening was at indie-garage rock band The Dead Ships Citycide EP release party.

'First Mistakes (single version)' by The Dead Ships from their new album CITYCIDE out June 26, 2016 on Nevado Music.

Frontman Devin McCluskey brought big vocals to every song on the setlist, giving NEW and OLD fans 11 fresh tracks to salivate over.  Tunes like “Loz Feliz” and “Company Line” possess a British Punk Rock twinge, initially reminding you of HIT bands like 'The Arctic Monkeys' and 'Ramones'.  Following the success of their self released EP the aspiring act received a random call from Goldenvoice's Paul Tollet inviting them to play Coachella (The first time an act with no agent & no label was on the bill) setting the trio up for the ultimate underdog story.

NEED TO SEE THEM LIVE? You can find the Los Angeles based groovers at Music Tastes Good (along with acts: Iron & Wine and The Deltas) - The festival will take place in Long Beach, CA on September 24th.  Grab your tickets here, and head over to The Dead Ships Spotify page to explore their catalog. Be the first of your circle of friends to say "I knew them before it was cool"
