Toronto Youth Day; Kate Todd & SIPO Foundation Partner with Wurrly
What do you get when you pair major talent and a worthy cause? A situation in which everyone's a winner!
Acclaimed singer-songwriter Kate Todd (check her out on instagram & website) has teamed up with Wurrly to bring you the #WurrlySIPO program, benefiting the nonprofit SIPO Foundation, dedicated to building a community of young people, offering inspiration, connection and skill development. SIPO is a sponsor this year for Toronto’s Youth Day - a free annual festival celebrating the positive achievements of young people showcasing their music, art, dance, fashion, film & photography for over 35,000 attendees.
Here's the awesome part. For each song that is recorded on Wurrly and shared including the hashtag #WurrlySIPO. WE (Wurrly) will donate 25 cents to the SIPO foundation. You can catch Kate performing at this year’s Toronto Youth day, held in the core of downtown Toronto at Yonge-Dundas Square. The event will feature 12 hours of all sorts of artistic performances on two outdoor stages plus the tented galleries. Ms. Todd will also be working with Wurrly to run a booth; offering autographs, pictures, swag - so don’t forget to mark your calendars now!
Looking for more ways to spice up your Wurrly profile with extra competition fun? We’re currently working with the Musicians’ Club at the University of California, San Diego to run a ‘Summer Sing Off’. Here's what you need to do; download the app, record a cover of your favorite song and share with your friends and family all over the world! Don’t forget to use the hashtag #MCUCSDWurrlySingOff - Looking forward to all of the awesome covers!
